Buku "Chicken Soup" bukan buku resipi

Salam,

What intrigued me to write this post is because I came across Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: 101 online when I google search for references to do my report. Why is this book so special? Jangan pula ingat dalam buku ni ada resipi cara-cara nak masak Chicken Soup, memang nangis la korang kalau beli buku ni gara-gara nak belajar masak sup...hehe... ^_^

Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul ni mengandungi 101 stories of teenage Life, Love and Learning. SO what?? Ok the reason why is, buku ni antara buku yang aku suka baca masa aku first nak belajar BI di Vientiane International School dulu. Kenapa? Sebab BI dia mudah untuk difahami (wah proper gitu!). Cerita-cerita dalam buku ni juga sangat menarik. It contains lessons about teenage friendships, love, relationships with parents and a lot more. Bak kata orang tua, rencah kehidupan. The stories in this book somehow makes you feel like you can relate to them without being criticized or judged. I would definitely recommend this to teenagers out there who would like to get different views and perspectives about life in general and how to overcome it. Sometimes in our teenage years we face problems and dilemmas that we thought we were the only one facing them, well good news people! You're not alone! Suka gila baca cerita-cerita dia. Of course they are based on real life stories.

LKM 400 gitu!):

"Relationships - of all kinds- are like sand held in your hand. Held loosely, with an open hand, the sand remains where it is. The minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers. You may hold on to some of it, but most will be spilled. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for the other person, it is  likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too possessively, and the relationship slips away and is lost" - Kaleel Jamison, The Nibble Theory
The reason why this particular quote strike as interesting to me is because some of my friends faced some relationship crisis and some even had theirs terminated and they don't know why. To me what Kaleel said has logical sense. That's why they say it's for the Teenage soul, it makes you understand certain theories about life. Renung-renungkanlah....

"Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day." - Sally Koch
In Syaa Allah. =) Mari menabung.

"What is success?
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived;
This is to have succeeded." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Curious? Why don't you find out more from the book itself. Happy New Year and Happy reading!
